I'm finishing up the documentation for this project and I could use a little help. Pretty simple. I just need to know if the page is refreshing for you, and what browser you use. Feel free to check out the rest of the stuff on the site if you'd like, but it's not all finished (and page 8 isn't up currently, it's a copy of the first page).

Here's a little poll:

Poll #1225889 Browser Poll
Open to: All, detailed results viewable to: All

Does the random image script work?

View Answers

Yes, perfectly.
31 (81.6%)

No, it doesn't refresh at all.
4 (10.5%)

Yes, but it stops working after a few changes.
3 (7.9%)

What browser do you use?

Firefox
27 (67.5%)

Internet Explorer

Safari

Responded to the poll - yup on Firefox!

I watched it for quite a while trying to figure out what this could be about!

K so i'm using safari and i would open the page, it would refresh once and the images would change, but then it would stop and pretend like it was refreshing.

:)

yeah, it seems that safari keeps all caching server side and refuses to listen to webpages. As far as I can tell, anyway, I haven't been able to figure out any code that will override it.

At least it would be different on every visit.

You might want to get a better server if you are going to show this to the public. If your going to be downloading onto your connection all the time, it's something to look into.

My point is you want to make your website fast loading all the time.

My point is that her downloading speed was the problem because I was using almost all of our connection and taking up our bandwidth... which has nothing to do with my webserver. My server is fine.

IE we live together and are hooked into the the same router, which I was insanely hogging for an hour there.

My server statistics (average of 1,000 visitors a day to all sites hosted)
Total Bandwidth Provided: 6919 GB
Total Used So Far: 32.528 GB
Estimated Average Usage: 46.469 GB

ok, yeah, I guess that has nothing to do with dl speed, but I can't find an ap to test it. In the past four years, it's only ever been limited by how fast a connection I am on.
