I don't know if any of you were aware of Andrew Olmsted, a blogger who was also part of the military (who I hadn't followed, though I wish I had, reading back) but he was recently killed in iraq. He somehow had the forethought (and resolve) to leave behind a final post with a friend, and I found it quite moving and worth a read.
I don't really know what else I could say. Sometimes all this internet seems so trivial, but... all of us out here, reading and sharing our lives through computers, I suppose there are moments where I do feel closer to humanity, as if I really have shared something with another human I do not and will never have the ability to know in person.
I hope you are all well.
